To whom it may concern:
Hello, my name is David Williams. If you don’t know me, you may know my mother, Nancy Williams. I am a former member of the Woodmont Hills Student Ministry, and I will be participating in a mission trip to Ukraine this summer (May 27 to July 1). I have partnered with the nonprofit organization Let’s Start Talking (LST), who will be facilitating my travel and work in the mission field.
The focus of my visit will be simple: I will provide free English language lessons to willing learners by reading with them through the Gospel of Luke over the course of five weeks. Of course, my real goal will be to have meaningful conversations with my students so that they may come to know Christ. LST simplifies the logistics by organizing the trip, communicating with the on-site missionaries, and providing training for our team. With their help, I am devoted to making a real change in the community and in the lives of many Ukrainians.
I graduated out of the student ministry at Woodmont Hills one year ago, but I still consider it my spiritual home. Mission work can be quite expensive, however, and my situation is no exception. I have already sent a letter to ask for a donation from Woodmont Hills to my LST fund and the Mission Committee has processed the request. I would also appreciate your prayers.
